Screened Porch Enclosures with Ceiling Fans and Electrical

Screened porches extend your usable outdoor season in Oakland County from late April through October without the mosquito and fly issues that limit unenclosed spaces. We install custom screen enclosure systems on existing and new porches throughout Southeast Michigan using aluminum or wood framing with fiberglass or aluminum mesh that provides maximum airflow and outward visibility. Screen doors get self-closing hardware so the enclosure actually stays closed.

Every screened porch project includes framing for screen panels, electrical wiring for ceiling fans and recessed lighting, convenience outlets, and finished ceiling boards — tongue-and-groove or painted drywall depending on the porch construction and homeowner preference. Ceiling fans with light kits are the standard: they handle air circulation during warm evenings and provide overhead light controlled by a single wall switch. Knee walls at the base add privacy and structural rigidity to the screen frame above.

We design screen enclosures to complement the home's exterior — proportional panel sizes, trim profiles that match existing moldings, and entry door placement where traffic naturally flows. Roof integration, gutter connections, and floor drainage are part of the project scope. A screened porch that channels rain onto the floor or allows water in at the roof connection creates more problems than it solves.
