Interior Finish Painting with Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams

We use Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams paints because the coverage and color accuracy are consistent. Both brands offer products engineered for specific applications: kitchens and bathrooms get moisture and mildew-resistant formulas, high-traffic areas get harder-wearing finishes, ceilings get flat products that hide surface variations. Selecting the right product for each surface is part of the job, not an afterthought.
Technique matters as much as product. We cut in edges with quality angled brushes for clean lines at ceilings, corners, and trim. We immediately back-roll wall sections with microfiber rollers for a stipple-free finish. Two coats minimum on all color-change surfaces. Every room gets inspected under raking light before we call it done — thin spots and holidays that aren't visible under general lighting show up immediately under a work light held at a low angle.
Metro Detroit homeowners who've had budget paint jobs can usually describe what went wrong: visible brush marks, roller stipple, thin coverage where the previous color shows through. The difference is prep and technique, not just product. We also work with clients on color selection when needed, helping you evaluate how a color reads in your specific room under your specific lighting before committing to the full application.
