Solid and Engineered Hardwood Installation with Custom Staining

Hardwood floor installations in Oakland County homes cover a wide range of conditions. New construction with clean subfloors. Renovations with old adhesive residue to deal with. Projects where existing hardwood gets sanded and refinished to match new areas being added. We install solid hardwood nail-down over wood subfloors and engineered hardwood glue-down or floating over concrete and radiant heat. Species available include white oak, red oak, hickory, walnut, and maple.
Custom staining is done on-site after the floor is sanded. We use water-pop or pre-stain conditioner to ensure even color absorption. Samples are applied in the actual wood species — not a photo or a showroom board. You approve the color under your home's lighting before we commit to the full floor. The difference between a stain looking right in the showroom and right in your room can be significant depending on your light sources.
Finish coats are oil-modified or water-based polyurethane applied in three coats with sanding between coats. We protect completed floor areas during ongoing renovation work so the surface is in good condition at move-in. Metro Detroit homeowners who have us handle the full scope — subfloor prep, installation, sanding, staining, and finishing — get a consistent result because one team controls every step.
